Wood Cased Drafting Pencils
What’s the difference between a regular pencil and a drafting pencil?
Drafting/drawing pencils have traditionally been at the high end of the pencil quality scale. The distinguishing characteristics of a good pencil have always been the quality and uniformity of the cedar casing, the quality and predictability of the graphite lead, and the finish.
Any drawing pencil that comes in a wide variety of lead degrees (B, H, 2H, etc.) including degrees higher than 2H can be considered a drafting pencil.
