This leadholder is the only clutch pencil I know of (I haven’t tried them all, have I?) that can hold 1.2 mm writing pencil leads as well as standard 2 mm drafting leads. I don't know if this is by design or a result of how the machines just happened to be set up the day it was manufactured. It is essentially a clone of the Koh-I-Noor 5611 (which cannot grip a 1.2 mm lead) with the exception of the barrel's eight sides instead of six and a slightly differing tailpiece.

This pencil is very similar to the Baignol Farjon l'Ere Marque 234. These Gramercy pencils seem much newer, however, and not quite of the same quality.
