Staedtler Mars Lumograph Technico 1002 pushbutton spring clutch leadholder

This is a pre-Lumograph “Mars” brand leadholder from Staedtler. The model 1002 was Staedlter’s first refillable “Artist’s Pencil” (leadholder).

The 1002 model number was reused many years after this pencil for the short pocket model of Staedtler's first pushbutton spring clutch series of leadholders.
