The reverse twist lock clutch differs from the standard twist lock in the location of the lead clamping clutch jaws. In the standard type, the jaws are concealed within the clamping nut. In reverse models, the jaws are exposed and therefore provide a more positive hold because the lead does not need to be advanced quite as far. This model is unique in my collection in that its clutch has only two jaws.
