special features very unusual hexagonal lead and sliding friction mechanism

The most beautiful leadholders ever made to my knowledge and taste. I have not had the good fortune to examine them firsthand so I am unable to comment on the practicality of the mechanism, but I have doubts as to its suitablilty for serious drawing. In any case, the mechanism did not enjoy a long history.
